Cold and flu season lingering longer than you’d like in your home? You’re practically begging your children to sneeze into their sleeve and to wash their hands every chance they get. You know they try, but they often forget. You wonder if you should send them off with a bottle of hand sanitizer from the local drug store. But you know that traditional hand sanitizer has some drawbacks, and you don’t want your children applying an alcohol based product to their body for fear they will absorb it through their skin. Then it occurs to you…
Why not make your own?
- 5 drops lavender essential oil
- 15 drops tea tree essential oil
- 4 ounces 100% aloe vera gel
Mix all ingredients together and place into a small container. Tea tree oil is known for germicidal properties and lavender is great for a number of skin conditions. This all natural hand sanitizer should be replaced with a fresh batch monthly.
