Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk or unsweetened, dairy-free alternative
- 2-3 pitted medjool dates
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Handful of vegan marshmallows (optional)
Directions:
- Warm milk in a saucepan on the stovetop over medium heat until hot.
- Next, add warm milk, dates, cocoa powder, and vanilla to a blender. Pulse until creamy and well-combined. (Ensure that your blender is safe for blending hot liquids or whisk until well-combined and creamy).
- Pour hot chocolate into a mug, top with marshmallows and enjoy!
