Recipe: Wholesome Hot Chocolate

Step right up for your hug in a mug!

This rich and decadent Wholesome Hot Chocolate is a treat for your tastebuds and your body.

Medjool dates offer natural sweetness with a healthy boost of energy, while cocoa powder adds chocolate-y antioxidant support. Perfect for families that love to cozy up together!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk or unsweetened, dairy-free alternative
  • 2-3 pitted medjool dates
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Handful of vegan marshmallows (optional)

Directions:

  1. Warm milk in a saucepan on the stovetop over medium heat until hot.
  2. Next, add warm milk, dates, cocoa powder, and vanilla to a blender. Pulse until creamy and well-combined. (Ensure that your blender is safe for blending hot liquids or whisk until well-combined and creamy).
  3. Pour hot chocolate into a mug, top with marshmallows and enjoy!
